Section 16-36 - Prerequisites to Operative and Effective Date - Exchange of Documents Toward Ratification Authorized

When the Governor executes the compact on
behalf of this state and causes a verified copy of the compact to be filed with
the Secretary of State, and when the compact has been ratified by one or more of
the states named in Section
16-35
of this title, then the compact
shall become operative and effective as between this state and any other state
or states. The Governor is authorized and directed to take action necessary to
complete the exchange of official documents between this state and any other
state ratifying the compact.
